Just got back form the OnDemand show this week and had a good time. I have heard from many people how this show was down or had concerns with the format, but I can’t compare it as this was my first show. I was able to meet face to face with several customers and candidates I have been working and enjoyed that. HP had a large setup but they did not have their Indigo’s there. I am excited to follow the development of FUJIFILM’s inkjet press. To me it seemed there were just as many software solutions as there were iron solutions.

One cool thing I saw was from Indros Group and their Easy PURL software. They created a campaign for their prospects and customers to go to a PURL that allowed them to pick up a custom printed t-shirt. The t-shirts had their PURL on the shirt and they had stacks of shirts to give out.

Preparing for OnDemand

This year is flying by and I can’t believe that the OnDemand show is coming up in a couple of weeks. I am getting ready and scheduling any face to face meetings with customers and candidates that will also be there. If you plan on attending and we haven’t already setup a meeting let me know. I will be heading up Sunday and leaving from Philly on Wednesday.

Also, the stickers have been mailed out so if you did not receive them you can swing by the Quick Printing Booth (booth 58) to pick them up.

Paper Machine Production Manager – Responsible for overseeing production control activities to ensure efficient material and work flow to support production plans. This position will offer many challenging circumstances, which require quick thinking and problem solving methods to properly manage and support the operation. Flexibility is a requirement for completing the job. Controls all Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping functions. Must be able to work closely with the Maintenance department.

Paper Machine Maintenance Manager – Responsible for the management of the Maintenance department and machine process development.

Senior Process Engineer Paper Machine - Responsible for providing leadership for new product development, material improvements, process improvements, process validations, process qualifications, product performance qualifications, specification development, with the goal of improving efficiencies, lowering costs and expanding the business with new products or product improvements while ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements.

Controls Engineer – Specifies, designs, and implements complex controls systems and software programming on production equipment and associated machinery. Digital Printing Sticker for OnDemand Show

This is for the vendors and expo attendees that are planning to go to the OnDemand Expo in Philadelphia on March 30th – April 2nd. As discussed in the Digital Printing Group on LinkedIn we are planning to produce small 1″ round stickers with the Digital Printing Group logo (like to the right).
